Can someone point me in the direction of configuring a Fedora DNS server for my home network? There is a Solaris, Red hat and Windows nodes with in?

DNS is DNS (standard) it does not matter what OS clients are... check out dnsmasq it is small forwarding DNS cache integrated with DHCP and it takes info about hostnames from /etc/hosts - realy straight forward... it is just like keeping same /etc/hosts file on each machine...

Common DNS files and directories in Linux are:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/named
/etc/named.conf
/var/named
