Have you had any luck with getting something done?
I have a Mylex AcceleRAID 352 which is a legacy RAID controller not directly supported in Linux. I have the same problem as you. When I load FC3, it hangs on installation DAC960 portion which indicates that the drivers aren't working for the controller. It's strange because the original writer of the driver has what we need to get going. Unfortunately, he passed away a while ago. Support for a considerable host of controllers was suppose to have been put into the Linux kernel a while ago: see http://dandelion.sourceforge.net/DAC960.html. It seems that the linux kernel has some old code in it which doesn't support the card I have. I'd really like to use FC3 and FC4 with this RAID card because I can't afford a new one. I've been able to update the firmware, etc. I just need the kernel to recognise the card.
There may be an option to create a driver disk for this card using the above code, but I don't know how to do that. Can some one please help me with getting my 352 running on FC3 and FC4?
Thanks,
