Hi,
I am Linux user since 2004, Ubuntu user since 2005. I have tried Live CD of earlier versions of Fedora.
Today, I have downloaded Fedora-10-i686-Live.iso and burned a CD. sha1sum was ok. CD integrity is ok. CD is working well on Laptop.
On Desktop it is not going beyond liveuser login screen and I think that the system is failing to detect the hardware.
$ lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03)
For information, Ubuntu 8.10 Live CD was not working on default mode but that is because Ubuntu comes with COMPIZ as default WM which is not working for my intel chipset. I don't think Fedora 10 comes with COMPIZ as default, if it does I would like to know the kernel boot parameter to force vesa. For Ubuntu Live CD it is "xforcevesa" but it must be different for Fadora.
I think that Keyboard and mouse detection may be a problem in my case. In case that is true what is the workaround to use the Live CD, may be, I can boot as single user and modify something in xorg.conf or do such thing and resume.
I am new to Fedora, please help.

After posting above I checked bugzilla and found a bug (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470672) for my card. The bug says it is "Xserver crashing".
Does it mean I can't use Fedora 10 Live CD on the Desktop?
