Does not find DVD

I have a NEC-2510 DVD/CD burner which FC2 does not recognize. I can only play CD roms but not DVD's.

I have the same burner, FC2 recognizes it out of the box. You need to install mplayer or ogle or xine to play dvd's. Did you do that?
