Not that FC3 is bad, and I'm not saying that, but unless there is a big change as in kernels, I'm sticking to FC2. I do not see the need to upgrade to FC3 since I put so much work on my FC2. Maybe, just maybe, when Gnome 2.8 is out, I'll think about it. As of right now, FC2 work just peachy.

I love the clean look of Fedora , its a pity that it is so buggy. But I will give Core 3 a try when its released.

Buggy? For a major kernel upgrade, not to mention completely swapping out the audio subsystem, this has been a walk in the park! If you want "buggy," you should have been around when the kernel went from 1.x to 2.0 (introduction of the modular kernel). That was a rough ride...

yes, yes it was...
im looking forward to FC3 being released, and I would be trying the tests however being my main computer i dont have the time as i did with FC2Tx's to work through the bugs...
well, once i get back to school I will be upgrading to FC3 and im sure i will love it...

I have to disagree with KiwiNZ. As far as I'm concerned, buggy can not be applied to either FC1 or FC2. From my surfing of this and other forums, it's usually been a hardware problem. I know, I know, "but my "fill in the blank" works with Windows. With the correct equipment there is not a problem. Take my sound bug???. When I replaced my ISA sound card with a PCI sound card I had sound. One can say it worked with Windows but one has to ask which Windows? Was it a machine you bought that was loaded with MS? Try loading XP and see if it works. From my experence that wasn't the case. I won't go into what software I had to replace to get my familly's Win box back to what it was. But it cost a lot more that the time and effort I spent on tweaking my Fedora system. Buggy. I don't think so.

Don't get me wrong I really want Fedora to be a leading Distro. That is why I have two of my staff working on the bugs I have experienced and feeding back to the project. So I am investing in its future.
FC1 was a very good debut release.
I am currently using MDK 10 on my machine. But prefer the feel of Fedora. I will definately purchase FC3 when released.

Yay Fedora
After deciding dammit Fedora is not going to beat me , I have resolved my mount dismount issues , my fans run quiet , my printer and sanner work great as do my digital cameras.
My USB keydrives work .
The only issue I have not resolved is a light brown smudge that appears around the letter L in KDE and only when its in lower case . I have even changed GPU's and stll it persists . And as KDE is my GUI of choice its a little irksome . And yes a only a little.
I have Fedora running as I like it which is great as it is my Distro of choice .
I have upgraded the Kernel to 2.6.8 and that is running without hitch .
So yay Fedora :)

The reason why Fedora Core 3 Test 1 looks like Core 2 is meant to be experimenting some existing featuer with updated packages and it is more like bleeding edge. I have noticed that: on Add/Remove package, the XFCE installation is still missing. Concerning about the kernel, I cannot properly run my Wacom on post 2.6.5 though I enable USB mouse support. I expect that Fedora Core 3 Test 2 will be bleeding edge with new feature and improved Software Package.
