View Full Version : no cd drive install problems

is there any way i can install it without a cd drive because mine does not have one and from what i hear there is no other way to install fendora 9 which i really want to install and also i have a aspire one

1. Out of thin air - no?
2. Online with a PXE BIOS NIC and a BIOS PXE boot option - maybe.
3. With the ISO on another Linux compatable partition - yes, if you can fine the instructions.

DVD and NETWORK booting is today's standard.

One way if you have access to another machine is to make a live usb pendrive and install from that.
or you could install off the hard drive, but not as easy as it seems

I have installed Fedora 10 to my Acer Aspire One from a live usb. There is a LiveUSB creator gui for Fedora and Windows but I prefer the terminal script. :)
