Fedora 10 doesn't detect my monitor properly ( it also didn't in 9 but I know how to fix that by adding a modes "1280x1024" in the xorg.conf )
How do I tell Fedora 10 that my monitor is capable of 1280x1024 now there is no xorg.conf

I believe that if you run system-config-display --reconfig it will generate an xorg.conf that you can then edit.

heres a Q..
whats your video chip & drivers, ie if its a nvidia 6100 or some other close to that and the nvidia drivers, check the nvnews forums, its a well known bug that that resolution doesnt work and nvidia seem reluctant to fix..
