i just installed 64bit core 10 beta and everything was working for a while, but now eclipse won't open. it was working before, i updated and that was when it stopped working. i went to add/remove software and removed all the packages related to eclipse (i just searched for eclipse and removed everything) then tried to add it back in. there were no errors trying to reinstall it, but i still get the same error:
An error has occurred. See the log file
/home/vassago/.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_3.4.0_793567567/configuration/1225089097947.log.
when i open the log file there is over 1400 lines of errors, most of which say i'm missing a required bundle then names off a bunch of stuff. here's an example:
!MESSAGE Missing required bundle org.eclipse.jface.text_[3.2.0,4.0.0).
!SUBENTRY 2 org.eclipse.cdt.make.ui 2 0 2008-10-27 00:31:40.489
i don't know where to go from here. i really need eclipse because i'm a cs student and that's what i've gotten used to, so i couldn't go back to vim and i read core 10 was supposed to have netbeans, but i can't find it in the gnome environment and i don't see where to switch to kde because it's not on the login screen like the previous versions.
any help is greatly appreciated.
thank you.
