Hi,

After running 'yum update' after installing beta CD I can't get the kernel
vmlinuz-2.6.27.3-30.rc1.fc10.i686 up and running. There is no corresponding
initrd in /boot.

Files in /boot:

config-2.6.27-0.352.rc7.git1.fc10.i686
config-2.6.27.3-30.rc1.fc10.i686
initrd-2.6.27-0.352.rc7.git1.fc10.i686.img
System.map-2.6.27-0.352.rc7.git1.fc10.i686
System.map-2.6.27.3-30.rc1.fc10.i686
vmlinuz-2.6.27-0.352.rc7.git1.fc10.i686
vmlinuz-2.6.27.3-30.rc1.fc10.i686

Where can I find initrd?

PS. Yum has some minor problems with 1-3 other packages which make the transactions
to be left. I have run yum-complete-transaction. yum update kernel -> Nothing to do

mkinitrd -v -f /boot/initrd-vmlinuz-2.6.27.3-30.rc1.fc10.i686.img vmlinuz-2.6.27.3-30.rc1.fc10.i686

I also had this problem. I used yumex to remove the kernel update then I did a full update of all files except the kernel. After which I rebooted into init 3 and did a kernel update and it worked. Haven't tried the latest kernel but I will sometime later today,,, Thanks for the heads up that it is broken again

Did a rerun with a fresh formated disk and I did not get above error.
No yum error either
The missing initrd above was probaly due to the messed up yum.
