Hello,

I just installed Fedora from scratch on a brand new hp server and now I can't set up an ethernet connection. Although the card is listed, when I try to activate it, I get this error:

3c501 device eth0:1 does not seam to be present, delaying initialization.

From what I'm seeing on other forums, I may need to update the kernel but, I don't know what version to update to?

I had redhat 9 installed on this before and had no problem.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Clem C Rock

All I know it's a 3Com 3c501 ethernet card but, I don't know who makes the product. I will look into it tomorrow.

I thank ye for your time,

Clem C
