View Full Version : Configuring KPPP

Hello folks:

Can you help me configure the KPPP to interact with the driver
installed from the SmartLink manufacturer site?
The laptop hangs after the connection is established and even before the connection is up.
The output from running the driver is:
/dev/ttyslamr0
and the activation of a symbolic link
/dev/ttySL0 and /dev/pts/2

For some configurations the KPP modem query returns modem information.
For others it cannot find it.
How to solve the hang situation?
And if it stills hangs, what other options are there besides turning the Lapttop off?

I cannot open any files with Linux Media Player.
I cannot record sounds either.

Thanks

Hello folks:

The modem is finally up and working.
If you ever encounter the situation, try changing to the KDE desktop environment.

The problems with media player and temperature settings persist
Thanks
