I originally downloaded and burned Fedora Core 1.91 some time back, and recently re-installed it. It's working decently enough but I'd like to upgrade to Fedora Core 2 Final, but I can't seem to find any places to do this at. I've been trying to find guides for updating directly from 1.91 to 2 however anything I have found have been lacking.

I'd prefer not to have to download all of the ISO images for FC2 Final and burn them to CDs, then do a fresh install. If anyone knows of a easier and/or faster method, such as using the up2date tool (which I've been trying to do), I would be sincerely greatful.

Thank you in advance for any useful help you can provide.

Core 1.91 is a test2 version of Fedora Core 2, if I'm correct.

Upgrading from test to stable release is not recommended.
Fresh install is.

I think fresh install is not so tough and/or slow method.

When you install a test release you agree on reinstalling. That's the way it works. Upgrading from a test releases isn't supposed to work, that doesn't mean it won't, but you're on your own.

Test releases are supposed to be installed fresh, and when the full release is available, do reinstall again. If you don't like this, don't use test releases.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to redownload all four ISOs again for Fedora Core 2 but it seems I do, so I did.

After downloading them all, burning them to CD, and doing a fresh install of them, my computer is now refusing to see my primary hard drive, even during computer initialization. When I start a upgrade or install of Fedora Core 2 it sees hda and hdb, but the system doesn't see hda anymore. I've tried reinstalling the bootloader (grub) but that didn't work either.

Does anyone have any ideas why or what I can do to fix this?
