Do you know when it's officially released?

I don't mean the torrent files floating all over here... - or are they safe to use?

Can someone please enlighten us and tell us how to check, if a downloaded (through Bit Torrent) DVD-ISO (or other ISO) of Fedora Core2 is valid?

Would like to know, if this is the official released ISO...

Thanks in advance,
Martin

That is the official ISO. If you search the forum - you will see that the md5checksums have been confirmed.

The Core 2 servers are due up at some point soon. But I think that us in Europe are currently waiting for America to wake up later before the servers all come online.

Some of us colonials ARE up at oh-dark-thirty (I have to be at work c. 5:30AM PST) - and as soon as I'd had 2 large sips of coffee, the first thing I did was check my ususal mirrors. Still 550'd - d**n.

Man, I wonder if there's any way I can sneak out of work long enough to go start my Bittorrent download when the announcement comes? Nah, I had better wait until I get home tonight. :)

That's a good point and maybe that will be my first project after getting FC2 going on my machine. I'm on the net using a cable modem and DHCP. Would I be able to use remote SSH with DHCP or do I need a fixed IP address?

Thanks,
-Robert
