Do you know if your Graphics Adaptor is a good working card? If so, then go to Post #6 in this thread
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=188086
and follow the relevant instructions for your version of Fedora WITHOUT the graphics adaptor physically installed, then when you've finished, Shutdown the system, insert the Graphics Adaptor and switch on. ;)

"localhost" is literally a name, in this case it's the default name of your computer that was set during the installation of your OS.
This screen you are at is the Non Graphical User Interface log-in, and it is not displaying anything next to password as you type for security reasons. (ei, if someone was stood behind you as you typed your password, you would not want them to see it)
Did you install your system using the Text Mode install?

type
yum -y install yumex
that will install yumex ready for when we go into the GUI.
when this has finished, should only take a few seconds...
type
init 5
This will launch your GUI.
Once you are in the GUI, you must create a new user.
Click System -> Administration -> Users and Groups and using this create yourself a new username and password. This is important as you should not really use the "root" account for anything other than making system wide (important) changes to your machine.
Before you do anything else, we need to tell your Fedora to boot into a GUI next time and thereafter. To do this we need to edit a file...
Click Applciations -> System Tools -> Terminal
and type
gedit /etc/inittab
Look for a line of text that says id:3:initdefault: and change the 3 to 5
Now click File menu and select Save then exit Gedit.
Once you have done this, go back to my previous post http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=188086 and follow the instructions in Post #6 skipping the part on yumex, cause you've already done that...
