fc9 network starts/stops

My wired network constantly starts and stops going up to 110 kb/s for 30 seconds and then 0 kb/s for 20 seconds.

I never had this problem in windows vista so I don't think it's a direct hardware problem. Does anyone know a way to check/fix the drivers/software that deals with this?

Are you using NetworkManager or the standard 'network' service?

I'm using NetworkManager and I'm using an nvidia corporation mcp55 ethernet adapter

Did you try switching to the 'network' service instead?

I tried using the network service and I get the same problem.
