does a wd 1tb my book drive work on fedora?

I want buy a 1 tb network my book drive so i can use it with galleon for tivo. I want to use galleon to download sd and hd .tivo files to the 1tb mybook drive and use windows xp video redo to take out the ads and convert them to mpeg2.

will it work with fedora and windows at the same time?
