no sound or wifi

i run fedora 9 64bit on a HP pavilion dv5-1003nr
i get messages saying alsa default didnt work so it switches to pulse then pulse fails and it goes back to alsa and it just loops this infinetly
and how would i find my wireless cards in terminal?
