hi there,

I installed one app which went fine, then tried another and the dialogue you see after a app is installed ( close <>run ) , on the second install disappeared after I clicked close but somehow refresh caused window remnant to remain, and after a few seconds entire packagekit window turned white , but rest of desktop was functional. I found no other threads on this so Im posting this, albeit I have no errorlogs as it didn't crash with any, just hung.

This was after installing updates last night and rebooting.

cheers

Try from koji or development mirror with rpm

xorg-x11-server-1.5.1-10.fc10 (several packages usually server and common are needed.

xorg-x11--drv-evdev-2.0.6-2.fc10

and the obex-data-server-o.3.99-2.fc10

Those may get you booted and then apply the next updates but not kernel 408, stick with 398 for awhile.
Also do a
touch /.autorelabel and reboot

Honestly I thought the thread would just drift , most seeing this as likely a fix that came from updates, and indeed it seems that is what happened..im not in linux atm, but last time I used packagekit it seemed fine, having installed a few things and seeing no hangs.

Thanks to those who offered sollutions, I'll verify latre if its ok.

cheers
