Hello

I just recently picked up a copy of Fedora core 1. I've been told to hold off on getting Fedora core 2 because there might be some bugs the current version of the Linux kernel 2.6.

Would it be good to wait until the next Linux kernel update or even waiting until Fedora core 3 comes out?

Thanks

The point of the test releases is to test bugs in the upcoming release. So far there have been 3 test releases for Fedora Core 2. Fedora Core 2 Final comes out tomorrow May 18th (i.e. in 1.5 Hours). There should be no problems with the 2.6 kernel, as it has been tested so thoroughly. I actually recommend updating, because the 2.6 kernel fixes alot of the problems that really bothered me about 2.4.

The actual Kernel is a Red Hat tinkered 2.6.5 kernel if your interested. ;)

Thanks

I've actually got an exam in a few weeks so I might pick up Fedora core 2 after then. I haven't even had time to load Fedora 1 yet, I've got my programming assignment to finish first.

Thanks
