So the alpha was unusably slow for me in VirtualBox, and eventually became completely disabled due to some PackageKit error which would occur every 30 seconds. So I was looking forward to the beta, but the disc check utility, upon completing, would suddenly not be able to find the disc at all (as per my previous experiences as well), so I had to start over. No big surprise, no big deal. So I continued on my merry way, but when I get to the partition screen and click next, it told me "no devices found." I tried with all the different options, just to be sure. So I started over again. This time it let me by the partition screen, but when I got to the screen about installing productivity software, etc, I checked the development repo option (thinking that made since since I'm on a development release?) but it gave me an error message about it won't use it or something... and then during formatting I get an error: "Error running transaction. There was an error running your transaction for the following reason(s): File conflicts. Details: There were file conflicts when checking the packages to be installed: file /usr/share/locale/../LC_MESSAGES/system-config-firewall.mo conflicts between attempted installs of system-config-firewall...." (etc.)
Anyway, just posting in case this might be helpful to anyone else. I am pretty sure I give up on the development releases for F10.
EDIT: I didn't at first realize that the error message gave me an option other than "Exit Installer," so I went back and unchecked the repo. Installation appears to be progressing normally now. I'll update this thread if I encounter any further problems.
->EDIT: Nope... same result. Same error.
->EDIT: Few days later I tried again from the start. It seems to be working so far...
