Or did I lose my glasses? Or am I just not thinking straight? Or not thinking at all?
[glenn@coolhand ~]$ sudo yum check-update

We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
#2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

I've just finished installing 10 Beta so I haven't had a chance to screw anything up yet.

[glenn@coolhand ~]$ cat /etc/fedora-release
Fedora release 9 (Sulphur)

[glenn@coolhand ~]$ uname -r
2.6.25-14.fc9.i686

Me thinks someone fsck'd up something. Like downloading the wrong DVD. I'm looking at FedoraProject and damned if I didn't download Fedora 9 all over again! I'm a freakin' idiot! Today only though. Tomorrow I'm a legend in my own mind. Now, let's start over with the DL..... Hey Firewing1, keep this between you and me, OK :D

That's the normal one-time "friendly warning" message for sudoers. It should only appear once (first use of sudo).

I think you missed the point Vince. I've apparently downloaded Fedora 9 final in my haste to download Fedora 10 Beta. That's real output from my newly installed system. I paid next to 0 attention to the install. Only looked at the screen when I had to respond to prompts. When I heard the CD drive open and the speaker beep I knew the install was complete.

Oops is right! I've just finished the beta download (the real beta). Guess I'll install it tomorrow. It's 8:30 and I'm out of here for the night. Going to go watch TV until I fall asleep, which should take about 5 minutes
