Hi,
I am pretty new to linux and just installed fedora core2 to a toshiba satellite laptop (which has a pentium M Dothan cpu with centrino tech.). The cache size is detected as 64k. I have used x86info and it shows that the CPU Model is unknown model original OEM, and then the L1 cache has a total of 64kb. There is no detection of the L2 cache though. Would someone please tell me how to check and correct the L2 cache size ?

Also, when I shut down the machine, it goes to stand-by mode instead of completely off. Is there a solution?

Thanks

i think you should find a kernel to fit your new cpu, or get the source ,and compile for your environment.
