game installation trouble.

Ok. I got wine installed (I think), but I'm having trouble installing Diablo 2.

Someone give me something to try and I will post the results.

edit: Thus far, I have done the following:

In terminal - cd /mnt/cdrom, wine setup.exe

In terminal - su, wine setup.exe

note: password was entered in there

I get the feeling that plain wine won't cut it for a game and winex (http://www.transgaming.com/) might be needed. Compiled packages require a TransGaming subscription, but the discussion here (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=530) links to some scripts to build and install it.

According to their page (http://www.transgaming.com/gamepage.php?gameid=3) it should work.

u dont need the subscription to use winex.
it's free via cvs or look at http://www.frankscorner.org to fetch the winex-src and compile it for your needs
