www.openldap.org? They have online manuals...
Please post if you find a good how-to. I'm also specially interested in network authentication on a FC1 server running OpenLDAP.

Please do the How To. I went from a working RH9 system to a Fedora Core 2 system that can no longer authenticate against a working OpenLDAP server.
The error I get is:
pam_ldap: ldap_starttls_s: connect error
Again, the system autheniticated fine under RH9, but now doesn't under Fedora Core 2.

Does setting "tls_checkpeer no" in your client machine's /etc/ldap.conf fix it?

tls_checkpeer no
TLS_REQCERT allow
I added both of the above, and it is fixed. Not sure which one fixed it though :-)
