View Full Version : Disabling default driver during installation (DM9102, tulip)

I'm trying to update an old system to Fedora 9. I find that the installer cannot get onto the network reliably (I was planning to use NFS installation). My NIC is a Davicom DM9102. Searching around I found http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-186430.htm, and indeed, if I boot the installation CD in rescue mode, I can make networking work by manually unloading the tulip driver.

So, my question, how can I get the installer to set up networking with this driver disabled?
