System information program

I'm just curious as to where I can get a program to display various system information on my desktop such as memory usage and uptime. Thanks!

GKrellm makes a great sysmonitor with all the functions you mentioned...it is skinable
and has many add on plugins...

it uses less resources than karamba or gdesklets (other sys monitor applets)
