Several people reported problems with external FiWi hardware, system crashes, boot problems and kernel freeze.
Kernel 2.6.6 release date was after devel freeze of FC2.
Situation:
FC2 final is shipped with kernel version 2.6.5-1.358. This Kernel contains broken Firewire Modules.
In addition to this - to avoid crashes during cd boot for installation - the firerwire modules are missing on InstallCD.
Solution:
Alexandre Oliva describe a way to use Firewire hardware. It is available via http://people.redhat.com/aoliva/snapshots/FC2-firewire/
