X problems with Toshiba Satellite 2210 xcds

I've successfully installed installed Fedora Core 2 onto my Toshiba Satellite 2210 xcds and all is working fine except for X. There is a 1 inch thick hortizontial line across the bottom of the screen which is corrupt. I've scouted google for answers and found some proposed solutions but nothing that was worked.

Anybody installed Fedora on this model laptop before? or have any idea on how to fix it?

what is the res of yr screen....and what does yr xorg.conf say.....these are things that I'd look at first.....
