You can compile mysql from scratch I suppose.

I find a package mysql-5.0.67-1.fc10.x86_64.rpm but it's for FC10 do you think it will work for me
if I installed it with yum.
Any other suggestions how to upgrade to a newer version ?
Thanks

It is probably best to upgrade Wordpress. That piece of software gets security updates all the time because it's so full of holes, so it's probably a good idea to keep it updated. What kind of modifications have you made to it? Is it possible to carry those changes over to a newer version?

Upgrading WP is not the solution , the problem here is with the mysql version , I have too many modifications in that version 2.5 years of work :)
Is there a Tutorial somewhere on how to remove mysql and install an other version ? (I can't find a good one)
