All of a sudden after i got it dismounted from windows xp, my hard drive stopped to respond.
It is not being recognized by both linux and windows now.

I tried to force mount it on fedora but i don't know how to, it is not being recognized i think

can i find the usb port its on and let fedora force mount it?

( and by the way, waiting a disturbingly long time the bios has recognized it at boot screen, but still no luck from osses )

run lsusb as root. it will tell you if the usb subsystem is detecting a drive. But just because it does, it doesn't mean the drive will mount. I've had similar issues with usb drives. usb recognizes them, but the will not mount because the drive is bad.
