Hi

I've just installed Fedora Core. Now I'd like to install oscommerce which requires PHP, SSL and Apache. Does Fedora include those three?

Thanks much.

Fedora does. You can use yum to install them, see www.fedorafaq.org on how to install software.

Since all three are included with Fedora, a simple way to install them is at Main Menu > System Settings > Add/Remove Applications. Select the web server tab under the servers category and click details. Also add the php and mod_ssl packages. Click update, put in your CDs and you should be set.

Thanks.

I looked up YUM (at
http://www.linuxgazette.com/node/view/8835). and would like to use it. Any suggestions as to where I may find some YUM mirrors?

I was on that site just before I posted my question. Didn't download Stable for Fedora Core 1: yum-2.0.7-1.noarch.rpm at the time because I wasn't certain that I could subsitute yum-2.0.7-1.noarch.rpm into the instructions I was following. The instructions asked for a mirror site link. I wouldn't know how to tweak the rest of the instruction to compensate for straying. Any comments would be helpful.

Thanks much.

yum is likely already installed.
