That is so OLD, back before 1995. Latest Netware was 4.10. Why not move off the files into a samba share directory?
Netware and Netscape heydays was murdered by Microsoft.

Summary : Utilities for the ncpfs filesystem, a NetWare client for Linux
URL : ftp://platan.vc.cvut.cz/pub/linux/ncpfs/
License : GPL+
Description: Ncpfs is a filesystem which understands the Novell NetWare(TM) NCP protocol. Functionally, NCP is used for NetWare the way NFS is used in the
: TCP/IP world. For a Linux system to mount a NetWare filesystem, it needs a special mount program. The ncpfs package contains such a mount
: program plus other tools for configuring and using the ncpfs filesystem. Install the ncpfs package if you need to use the ncpfs filesystem to
: use Novell NetWare files or services.

Thanks Marc,
Problem is the Novell Server currently hosts a very complicated database which is used by the staff here, the guy who designed it ran away with the source code, we've been trying to analyse and rebuild the database but there are alot of loops, so it seems like now we cant do away with the Netware.

Mind sharing who's the maker of the database? Oracle? Informix?

 Netware 3.12 .... Crikey! That's an ancient little bugger.
I was taught Novel Netware 3.11 in .......... 1992 ! The hardest thing was having to hand-crank the console and prime the server's steam engine every morning. :p

The latest Netware is 6.5. Netware also run as a service on Open Enterprise Server (or something like that). I Recently had to move away from Netware 5.1 to GNU/Linux due to its only partial suport of SATA Controlers. I understand that Netware 6.5 supports all the new hardware but we had to make a dession to migrate or not to migrate. We migrated
