Hi guys,

Firstly I am a definate novice when it comes to Linux, windows is more my strength.

I bought a dedicated box in a datacentre, which i have no physical access to, and well I can connect to it through putty on SSH, but I don't know what to do from there.

Basically its a brand new Dell poweredge, with Fedora Core 9 and the drivers installed.

Can someone give me the commands to put in from putty to download and install a VNC server so that i have a remote desktop-like interface?.. and get it to start automatically whenever the server starts.

Any help you guys can provide would be great!

Thanks a million!

do you really need a full vnc server? you could use x11 forwarding to view x on your machine, via putty :)
