i hv msi motherboard with VIA KM400 chipset and RLC 655 5.1 audio onboard. the problem is that i cant hv 5 channel output. linux detect via audio controller. i tried recompiling kernel in fc1 and mdk92. put num of spkr 4 and 6, line in as rear etc. but it still gives stereo output. my friends also hv the same problem. different newest motherboards hv been tried with 4,5,6 channels. nothing works. whereas pci sound cards works fine. can someone help wht to do. is the multichannel issue solved in 2.6 kernel? do we need to compile kernel to get multichannel support in fc2.
