ASUS M3N-HT SATA2 HD not recognized by F8 [Archive]

My box is a Phenom 9850 QC Black edition on a MB ASUS M3N-HT with 4 Gb DDR2 Corsair dominator, Radeon HD3870 X2 (1Gb) and a 300Gb Samsung HD on SATA 2. Also, 2 DVDs on IDE. The problem is: ****ing Vista recognizes and installed ok; i need to get rid of this piece of crap-software and get back to my good friend Fedora 8. However, fedora cannot see my HD SATA2. I have tried some live distros (gparted, knoppix, kurumin) and they couldn´t see this HD either. What should I do?

Have you tried switching which controller the Hard Drive is connected to ?
