Please specify a linux based PHP-HTML editor for creating web application. In windows i am using Dreamweaver 8.

Try Quanta+ (DW's favourite). I prefer to use Geany.

I used to use Quanta+ but Geany is also my preference nowadays as it is light. If you want a WYSIWYG type of IDE though KompoZer might be your only choice although I remember Quanta+ also having some WYSIWYG features.

My overall recommendation is just type your code by hand and use Geany.

try GPHPEdit is good one but no WYSIWYG
but powerfull on tooltips and auto file

yum install gphpedit* -y

I tried Quanta Plus a while back, and I hated it. I didn't find SeaMonkey much better either. What is the terminal code for Geany? I triedsu

but it said it can't find a package for geany...

yum install geany should work. What OS are you using? (what version?)

If all else fails, you could download the source from the website (http://geany.uvena.de/) and build from that. I build from SVN about monthly to get latest cuts, as they do add/fix stuff frequently.
