Gentle FedoraForum Folk,
I'm having a problem getting networking working with any Fedora Core 2 smp kernel. Well, any *rpm* of an FC2 kernel. I'm not a linux newbie, as I've been using Red Hat since 1997. I've tried everything that I know and I'm stumped.
I've googled & googled, I've even searched here, but to no avail. I know I should provide you folks with "ifconfig" and "route -e" and other output, but the problem is this: other than an ACPI message at bootup about S3 and PAE not liking each other (and S3 being turned off), my machine boots normally. Networking comes up normally, but I can't get any packets into or out of my machine.
However, if I boot into a single CPU kernel, everything just works.
Having an smp machine, I'd really like this to utilizer both procs.
Please let me know what info y'all need to help me out & I will gladly provide it.
Thanks!
