Hello unmanned
Run the command:
/sbin/lsusb
from a terminal and look for an output like this:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 04cc:1520 Philips Semiconductors
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04b4:6560 Cypress Semiconductor Corp. CY7C65640 USB-2.0 "TetraHub"
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Yours output should have something in it relating to your wireless card.
Do a Google search on the numbers for your device that are the equivalent of those I've marked in red.
That should tell you the chipset in your card, which is more important for Linuux than the model number.
Post back what you find and I'll see if I can point you in the right direction.
