upgrade to FC9 on HP dx5150 fails

I would very much appreciate any help on upgrading to FC9 on the HP dx5150. Whenever I try I only get a message to the effect that anaconda was abnormally terminated and that I should reboot. I think the problem has to do with the video card (ATI RADEON EXPRESS), but I am not sure. With FC8 the installation went smooth. Again: could anyone help me?

again: the upgrade is not recommended. Blow up FC8 and fresh install FC9.

Thanks a lot! Trying to fresh install FC9 has the same result: anaconda closes abruptly. An iso defect is also not the case. The DVD has been tested. By the way: I have tried with the install CDs---the same problem!

weird, what can possibly be changed so much in Anaconda to have it crash in FC9 and not FC8? this can be a question for someone who knows about this...
