Hello,
I recently installed F9 on my laptop with WiFi based on Intel iwl4965 chip. At the beginning it worked well, but after a "yum update" it stopped working. At boot it displays a message :
wlan0.SIOSCIFFLAG, no peripheral of that type
Would anyone have any idea ?

Hello LeHibou

You may need to look further than your wireless card for this problem.

When I saw your post, I updated my laptop with a 4965 card and it is once again connected to my wireless access point.

I suppose my card might be a different revision to yours. Mine is identified as:

Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection (rev 61)

by lspci.

If you select the previous kernel to boot from, does your wireless card work then?

Usually you would have NetworkManager control your wireless card and therefore you wouldn't see any mention of it trying to activate during the boot up process.

I strongly recommend setting the card not to activate at startup and to be controlled by NetworkManager.

If you have a reason to not use NetworkManager then I'd recommend deactivating it as a service so that it doesn't conflict with the other way you are controlling your card.

Incidentally, as it is setup Fedora 9 doesn't usually try to start network cards at boot time unless you have specifically activated the "network" service.

Many thank's, I deactivated the OnBoot at startup, now it works well.
If it does not work at boot then at worst it works in restarting NetworlManager.
Many thank's again,
