On my fedora 9 system I have my eth0 set to start when I boot up my machine but it never does. The sad part is that when I attempt to bring it up from the terminal it says its up but then it doesn't work. So then I go into the system-config-network gui and it shows eth0 as being down, so I bring it up from the gui and it works. I have to bring up eth0 from the gui everytime I start fedora, it will not start on its own.
What can I do?

Well I gave it a try and it still won't start on boot.
I have had the network manager disabled for a while now because I have always had problems using it.
