Hi
I am running FC2 on my Asus L1400 series laptop, and must say that I am very pleased with it. FC2 really kicks ass..
I have one problem though. When hoolking up a monitot to the VGA out, I get only 60hz refresh rate....and I cant seem to change this.
Anyone know how to fix it ?
The ASUS have a Intel I830 series onboard gfx adaptor.

go to the redhat panel than to > Preferences > Screen Resoluiton and see if that helps you!

I forgot to write, that I already tried that, but I can only choose 60 Hz - no other options available :-(

I'm aware you can alter resolutions in /etc/X11/XF86Config - but I'm not sure when to manually configure exact refresh rates. Anyone know?

Its been a while since I did this but here goes: in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file you can adjust the vertical refresh rates and horizontal sync in the monitor sction.

Yeah....would think so!
I actuately did try to edit the file manually - never did any difference though.
Have anyone actuately done this successfully, altered the xorg.conf file and got the refresh rate yanked up by that?
