I just did a fresh install of F9 on my server. I'm using squirrelmail as my webmail client for my mail users with the change_passwd plugin installed so that my mail users can change their shadow passwords. This plugin worked fine in F8. Now when I attempt to change my password in the web interface I get the response "current password incorrect" every time. I'm able to login to check mail just fine it just won't let me change my password via the web browser. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with the enhanced security in F9 PolicyKit but, I haven't been able to figure out what needs to be changed to allow the change_passwd plugin to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Well I figured out my own problem. Of course it was something easy. The change_passwd plugin uses MD5 encryption but the default if you go to System, Administration, Authentication then the options tab was one of the SHA's. I changed it to MD5 then went to users and groups and changed my password so it would encrypt it with MD5 and then I was able to change my password with the change_passwd plugin through squirrelmail.

squirrelmail configuration.
I am trying to log on using encryption MD5 to connect to Dovecot but the error log is showing PLAIN and I get the
All the mail stuff are running dovecot partial configuration
So tell me how I can get to the change_pass plugin to use MD5?
We're talking two different issues here. Your having an authentication problem. The change password plugin is used to change the users password after they are already logged in and it is used to change users shadow passwords. It can't help you with your problem. From the little bit of code you posted it looks like your user info is being stored in a database, where mine is just using shadow passwords with mbox for the mailbox's. I've never setup squirrelmail with database user info so I really am no help, Sorry.
