Hey, I've been trying Expocity for Metacity for a while and I think it's great. GNOME's Alt+TAB menu was never very good, and now, it's turned into some thing very very cool:cool::) I reckon' it'd be good if the developer would add in a feature hat hides all the windows and shows the desktop. Lol, I know I was just saying in another post that we shouldn't copy Apples Aqua theme, Expose could be an exception ;) ;)
What are all your guys thoughts?

Sure... here's how...
1. go to http://www.pycage.de/software_expocity.html and download the latest version tarball.
2. Extract the tarball, and in a terminal window cd to the directory you extracted the files to.
3. Type ./configure, to check dependencies - I didn't have any problems here, so I don't know how to resolve any you may have.
4. Then type make
5. Switch to the root user by typing su then type in your root password.
6. Now type make install
7. Then finally metacity --replace
And that should do it.... Press Alt+Tab to use it....

if you press ctrl+alt+D in gnome you can hides all windows and show your desktop (like windows keys + M under XP) and ctrl+alt+D again will restore your windows

Well I believe it is actually a drop-in relacement for Metacity, so you wouldn't worry about that, unless there are some features you need to keep with 2.8?
Speaking of which, what is different in newer Metacity versions?
