I installed F9 over F8 keeping my /home directory intact. This was a full install, not an upgrade. F9 installed OK, but the windows in GNOME are all messed up. The regular top and bottom panels appear and I can click on the individual mini-applications on the panels (date/time, volume control, trash, etc.) and they all work. The menu also works. However, whenever I open an application:
- the window for the new application is being drawn over the top panel so I can't click on the menu/top panel
- the window doesn't have the close/minimize/maximize buttons
- ALT+TAB doesn't work to change windows
Also, the bottom panel has two "Untitled Windows" boxes that cannot be maximized, minimized or closed.
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I did search for posts with many of the symptoms above, but couldn't find anything.
