While the Elisa Media Center application is marketed as a next-gen, 'do-it-all' media center - and at first glance appears to be a beautiful-looking piece of software, the fact that very few people have ever successfully run the application speaks volumes about its development maturity.
Over the last year, I've tried several times to install and run it on F7, F8 and now F9:
- install from rpm: FAILED (program crashes when run)
- install from src: FAILED (program crashes when run)
- install from svn: FAILED (program crashes when run)
Now this *could* be a Fedora-specific issue... in which case shame on the packagers. Regardless, much promised - little delivered.
My conclusion: steer clear. Find an application that is worth your time. This one's only half-baked.
