Call me a noob cause I am, but please help me, i wanna learn fedora

Im trying to get my wireless to work on Fedora 9, on a Dell Latitude D820.
lspci returns: Broacom Corporation BCM4311MCG wlan mini-PCI(rev 01)

Ive read other posts on how to setup and start NetworkManager, and NetworkManagerDipsatcher.

When I run this:

su -c '/sbin/chkconfig --level 345 NetworkManagerDispatcher on'

i get

error reading information on NetworkManagerDispatcher: No such file or directory

I tried using the graphical process manager, and it does not list a "NetworkManagerDispatcher" process.

I cant find any other information on this problem

My wired network works just fine.

Thanks

Goto system ->administration ->services, and see if you can turn on NM and NMD that way.

#yum install NetworkManager
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments Package 1:NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.9.3.svn3623.fc9.i386 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do

NetowkManager is listed in Services, NMD(NetworkManagerDispatcher) is not.

I have the same "problem", there is no NetworkManagerDispatcher service. Is that correct in F9???

>service NetworkManagerDispatcher start
>NetworkManagerDispatcher: unrecognized service

My installed packages:
NetworkManager-glib-0.7.0-0.9.3.svn3623.fc9.i386
NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.9.3.svn3623.fc9.i386
NetworkManager-gnome-0.7.0-0.9.3.svn3623.fc9.i386

There is no NetworkManagerDispatcher package to install in yum. But perhaps it's correct like that, I don't know.

I also do not see the NetworkManagerDispatcher. My wireless card is detected. But I can not connect to any network.

Ditto. Just did a clean install of Fedora 9; NetworkManagerDispatcher is nowhere to be found. Wireless works for a short while (up to 2 minutes), then disconnects.

85iroc I have the same broadcom card. Run the the Dangermouse scripts here (http://dnmouse.webs.com/) . My card works great. There are alot of other useful scripts for the noobies.
