Installer fails to create xorg.conf

I've just installed F9. At boot x fails to start. When I look for xorg.conf in ?etc/X11 it doesn't exist. I've checked against known bugs and threads on the forum and this doesn't seem to have happened to anyone else.

Does anyone know if there are known issues around the installer not configuring x at all?
