View Full Version : Dual Monitor Problems

Hey everyone. I'm currently running Fedora Core 2 and am trying to get a dual display set up correctly. I've read the tutorial on the nvidia site about setting up Twinviews (which I think is what I need... but i'm not sure) and how to set up more than one display. The end result is this: my main monitor shows KDE with the mouse and all the icons and the taskbar and everything the way it should be. The second display shows the same KDE... but with different icons, no mouse cursor, and other visual differences. The monitors are also put together for some reason, as I can drag my mouse cursor out of the first and onto the second, but it is my goal to get both of these displays to show the exact same thing. All I want is for the second display to be an exact clone of the first, just like it is when i'm outside of X. After spending several hours trying out different combinations of stuff and reading up on several forums, i'm out of ideas.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

# Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"

# If you'd like to switch the positions of your capslock and

Did you try using the Display configuration thingy? It's supposed to be able to configure dual view. You'll find it in System Settings > Display.

I get the 'mirroring' effect you're after when I connect both monitors and turn off dual display.
