Finally figured out my sound issue with flash player. I found it in a post, but it took a while to find. I figure many people will have this same issue. so I'm just going to post a new thread about the issue.
Basically you will need to install libflashsupport
32 bit
su -
yum -y libflashsupport
64 bit (I think)
su -
yum -y libflashsupport-64
I am probably wrong on the 64 bit jazz. Anyways restart firefox, and shwala you probably have it. :)

I'm also having trouble getting sound from Flash in FC9. I've already tried every tip I can find in the forums and still haven't had much luck with it...is there anything else someone can suggest?
I should also point out that despite what some posts say about installing the i386 versions instead of the x86_64, even if I select the i386 my computer seems to install the x86_64 anyway, and despite what some other posts say about installing them both, I don't seem to be able to do that either.

Likewise. I've had no luck with either sound or video from the BBC world service nor have I been able to obtain sound from other sites using RealPlayer. I've followed the recommendations here and elseware to no avail.
I'm running the 64 bit version of Fedora 9.
Anyone have any luck yet?

Installing libflashsupport solved the problem.
Many thanks.

Unfortunately, installing libflashsupport did not help me obtain sound from the BBC. Real player appears to be the culprit, in both its mozilla (firefox) and its standalone incarnations. It continuously tries to load and reports "congestion." (Perhaps a good nose spray?) Any ideas?

So "<b>yum install libflashsupport.i386</b>" doesn't do it?

Remove real player. Also killing pulseaudio can help if you watch a lot of flash videos and they crash for you. 'killall pulseaudio' Set all your media players to output via Alsa after killing pulseaudio and you will notice smoother playback. I like the idea of pulseaudio but the crashes with Flash video will drive you crazy after a while.
